A warm welcome
Inverkip Hotel came to See Saw looking for a logo, brand and website that would share their company mission of providing the best service and warmest of welcomes to anyone visiting their ‘braw wee abode’.

Seeing things differently
We started our creative journey with Inverkip by working on a logo for the hotel. Our creatives examined the front of the building and discovered some negative space that would be perfect for creating a bespoke logomark that was uniquely theirs. We made an I and H out of this negative space and simplified it down to just the windows, and the Inverkip identity was created.
Next up came the colour palette. We wanted to focus on warm colours that would reflect the welcoming nature of the Inverkip team and their values, so chose bronze and slate colourways to add some life to their new logo and treat their top-class photography and make it really tie in with the rest of their branding. Inverkip’s modern restaurant is paired with its more traditional lounge, so their branding had to cover all bases.

A digital spin on tradition
When their branding was complete, we then looked to create a website that showcased Inverkip’s cosy yet modern atmosphere and tell the story of the family-owned business, including their pride in all that they do for their guests. Not only a portfolio site, we also had to make it easy for users to book a table or a room at the hotel by integrating their in-house booking software. Since launch, the site has now been used to feature seasonal events and menus at Inverkip, as well as to share career opportunities to join the Inverkip family.

Results
Now developing their business model in reaction to the ‘new normal’ of 2020, we provided Inverkip with an ecommerce web solution in record timing to allow them to provide an easy-to-manage takeaway service. A clean, uncomplicated online store has now allowed Inverkip to share their high-quality food they’re known for to the local community – in a successful first week, they received over £1,000 in orders through the site only seven days after launch.
Now continuing this success, they’ve received over 500 orders worth over £15,000 in less than 100 days – impressive, right? With further digital and marketing support, Inverkip will be equipped with the tools and resources they need to start to increase this even further.
